Ozark high school girls preseason soccer training is scheduled to begin after school on Tuesday, January 6th. The schedule for preseason training is as follows:
Monday and Wednesday 6:15 am to 7:00 am in the main gym
Tuesday and Thursday 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm meet in the front of the weight room
If you are not involved in a school sponsored sport at this time, you are highly encouraged to attend ALL preseason sessions. — Coach D
Junior defender Jordan Burns was named to the 1st team for Class 3 District 11. His teammates, junior forward Seth Hampton and junior midfielder Zach Moore, were named to the 2nd team for Class 3 District 11. Congratulations gentlemen!!! Well done!
Wanted to take a quick moment during this busy time to make you aware of an event that the Springfield Soccer Club will host again in January of 2009. This will be the 2nd Annual Midwest Indoor College Showcase for Boys & Girls (Juniors & Seniors) on January 19, 2009 (MLK holiday). This event brings players from throughout Missouri, Oklahoma, Kansas and Arkansas together to play in front of numerous College Coaches. Last year there was a tremendous response for the event and they expect the same this year. Players sign up as individuals and are placed on teams to compete in the event. They try and place teammates (high school/club) on the same teams so there is a familiarity for the players on the field.
