Winning streak continues for Ozark

 

The Willard Tigers visited Ozark on Friday night and went home without a goal.  Ozark prevailed in the varsity game by a score of 3-0.  Megan Gunnels drew first blood in the 8th minute, attacking up the middle and taking a touch to the left of Willard’s charging keeper, then tapping the ball with her left into an open net.  Erica Hogan scored next for Ozark 10 minutes before halftime, hitting a big shot from deep outside the right side of the 18 yard box.  Sophomore Megan Stodden added the third goal for Ozark in the 69th minute.  Ozark has now won four straight since it’s opening loss to Waynesville .

Ozarks JV scored 4 more goals and allowed none in its victory over Willard, extending their winning record to 6 - 0.  The first two goals for Ozark were scored by Kelsie Brown (assisted by Killion and Poivre).  The third was scored by Danielle Poivre (assisted by Taylor Jordan), and the fourth goal was scored by Taylor Jordan (assisted by Mollie Killion).
