Kickapoo came to Ozark on Monday night ready to play. The first goal on the board for Kickapoo resulted from an own goal, in the 14th minute of play, when an Ozark defender attempted to clear a ball that had been knocked past the keeper off the goal line. Kickapoo scored again in the 18th minute when #16 Megan Etter ran unmarked onto a great diagonal through ball from midfielder Chelsie Russell and then went one-on-one against Ozark’s keeper. In the second half of the match, #9 Paige Blotter skillfully volleyed a beautiful cross into the back of the net in the 61st minute. The final goal of the game was scored by Megan Etter in the 73rd minute.
In a rematch of the JV tournament final from Saturday, Ozark’s JV squad defeated Kickapoo again. This time the game did not go to PK’s. Ozark got the game winner in the 24th minute on a goal by #20 Taylor Lorenzo and a second goal in the 37th minute by #6 Paige Lorenzo to win by a score of 2-0.
